A Hug, a Pugsky, a Siberian Pug are all popular names for the Husky Pug breed. As the name suggests, a Husky Pug mix tends to have a bit of Husky and a bit of Pug in its appearance. So just how big will a Hug pooch get?
Height and weight
Husky Pug mixes are a small to medium-sized breed. They will range in height from 10-23 inches. Their weight can go up to 60 lbs. However, on average a Hug dog will weigh between 30 to 40 lbs.
Huskies are known for their luxurious coat and the Husky Pug takes after the Husky in this regard. They tend to have a heavy coat which makes them prone to shedding. Their coats may also have skin folds akin to those of their Pug parent breed.
The coat of a Hug pooch can be grey, black, shades of red, shades of brown, brindle, fawn or white. In some cases, the pup will be a mixture of these colors such as brown and white or grey and white.
A Hug pooch can have a short or long muzzle depending on whether its genes favor it’s Husky or Pug lineage. The Husky Pug’s ears tend to be droopy and they will have a pair of blue or brown eyes completing their facial features.
While some Hug pooches will have facial markings reminiscent of a Husky, others may end up with the adorable folds of the Pug.
